My Testimony

God's Tower 3

Psalm 61:2

"From the end of the Earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I."

Duane Wallenstein | Create Your Badge

My Testimony: I have been a born-again Christian since July 23, 1991. I trusted Christ at Black Hills Baptist Camp in Four Corners, Wyoming. The week I trusted Christ, I also surrendered to believer’s baptism, yielded to full-time Christian service, and gave my friendships to the Lord.

When I trusted Christ, the Lord took away my desire to curse, and challenged me to rein in my thought life. I’ve been growing ever since, due to a continual study of the Scriptures, and have challenged myself to learn enough about dealing with people to minister to them most effectively.

My Church: I am a member of Calvary Baptist Church, an Independent Fundamental Baptist Church, and have studied ministry for several years, serving in that church.

My Education: I attended one year of school at Northland Baptist Bible College, now known as Northland International University, in Dunbar, Wisconsin, and over three years at Harvest Baptist Bible College in Fort Dodge, Iowa, majoring in Biblical Studies. I have also taken correspondence courses through Bethany Bible College in Dothan, Alabama.

My Burden: My burden is to win souls through friendship evangelism, disciple teachable Christians, and serve where God wants me to serve. I also want to provide resources for Christians who are looking for answers in their Christian life.

My Mentors: Thanks goes out to just a few of the people who’ve influenced the development of my Christian life. To Doyle Ellis, who was the first Pastor to really invest in my life, and whose guidance formed my early understanding of Christianity. To Harold and Loretta Yost, for teaching me the benefits of a simple, unencumbered Christian life, and to their church, for teaching me how to develop my singing talents. To the late Jack Hyles, who, although I never met him personally, influenced another mentor of mine, Terry Regimbal, to begin the bus ministry at my home church, through which I one day gave my life to Christ. To Jerry Twogood, for being a good bus captain, Junior Church teacher, and for generally being a nice guy. He’s the man who first challenged me to carry my Bible to school, and I’ve carried one with me almost every day since. To Pastor Ron Fowler, for being a terrific Camp Dean at Black Hills Baptist Camp. To Bro.’s Jerrill Campbell and Tom Sooter, and Pastor Marvin E. Smith III, who were also influenced by Jack Hyles, and whose education at Harvest Baptist Church and Bible College has IRREVOCABLY changed my life! To authors Henry Cloud, John Townsend, Gary Chapman and Bill Gothard, whose materials have instructed and educated me in the finer points of living for Christ. To the countless friends at my home church over the past two decades, whose encouragement, and emotional and spiritual support, have been used of God to sustain me for two decades. And finally, to my Dad, for being a good example of a hard worker, persistent man, and a person who doesn’t quit when things get tough. His example has greatly shaped my view of life in general, and my personality specifically.

My Most Recent Ministry Opportunity: I am currently an Adult Sunday School instructor at my home church, teaching from June thru November. Topics covered have included The Fruits of the Spirit, the Emerging Church, and miscellaneous messages on the topic of Relationships, including a series entitled "Relationships 101," based upon Bill Gothard‘s booklet, How to Fulfill 7 Basic Needs, available from the Institute in Basic Life Principles.

My Goal: Currently, my goal is to show my circle of influence that the Christian life is real, relevant, and not something to be taken lightly. My family can no longer escape the challenges of Christianity – since I’ve trusted Christ, several other of my family members have gotten saved, and after years of waiting, I am finally able to minister to them. Here is a page containing resources, documents, and references for Christians looking for answers in their daily Christian life. I hope you are blessed by what you find!

How to Respond to an Errant Authority Figure

Romans 13:1-14 – Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. 2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. 3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: 4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil. 5 Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake. 6 For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God’s ministers, attending continually upon this very thing. 7 Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour. 8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. 9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law. 11 And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. 12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. 13 Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. 14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.

Terror Cells In Our Churches

Latest news reports are that five terrorist cell groups have been operating in many of our churches.

They have been identified as: Bin Sleepin, Bin Arguin, Bin Fightin, Bin Complainin, and Bin Missin.

Their leader, Lucifer Bin Workin, trained these groups to destroy the Body of Christ.

The plan is to come into the church disguised as Christians and to do the work within the church to discourage, disrupt, and destroy.

However, there have been reports of a sixth group.

A tiny cell known by the name of Bin Prayin is actually the only effective counter terrorism force in the church.

Unlike other terrorist cells, the Bin Prayin team does not blend in with whoever and whatever comes along.

Bin Prayin does whatever is needed to uplift and encourage the Body of Christ.

We have noticed that the Bin Prayin cell group has different characteristics than the others.

They have Bin Watchin, Bin Waitin, Bin Fastin, and Bin Longin for their Master, Jesus Christ to return.

No church is exempt! However, you can spot them if you bin lookin and bin goin.
